PRACTICE AREAS
Karwai's practise covers corporate and commercial advisory work, with particular emphasis in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, take-overs, reverse take-overs, venture capital, corporate and debt restructuring, corporate finance and property transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Karwai completed her tertiary education locally, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in February 2002. Prior to practising law, Karwai was a lecturer in the subject of “Conflict of Laws” at a well known tertiary institution in Kuala Lumpur offering external law programmes with the University of London.

Karwai’s track record of transactions include:

In 2010: formed part of the legal team advising the national oil & gas corporation on its subsidiary’s initial public offering on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, in a USD$ 4.2 billion deal hailed as the largest IPO in Malaysia and the largest IPO in South-East Asia for 2010. The deal clinched the “Best Malaysia Deal” award (Finance Asia’s Awards for Achievement 2010) and the “Equity Deal of the Year” Award 2010 (IFN Deals of the Year Awards 2010)
